Biography:
Liz married Danton on October 1, 2011, which she considers one of the best days of her life.  Before she was married, she attended Syracuse University which is where she met Danton.  There, she was a devoted member of the women’s rowing team.  Oh and she also majored in engineering, though she probably dedicated just as much time to rowing.

Liz is proud to have a huge family and tries to spend as much time with them as possible.  She has her dad, her mom, her stepdad, her two sisters, three step-brothers, four grandparents, about 40 aunts and uncles, and about 80 cousins, not to mention all of her newly added in-laws, and will miss them all dearly when she moves to California.

The filming of this video is outside the realm of anything Liz ever thought possible.  Fitting everything she could into her van and stowing everything else away into a storage unit so she could be a part of interviewing members of the HD community from places all over the United States, while making her way over to California, would have seemed inconceivable before she met Danton.  Danton is the most ambitious, driven, passionate person Liz has ever met.  When he has his mind set on something, he WILL accomplish it.  So even though the creation of this film seems like a crazy endeavor that she would only ever read about in the early part of a famous writer’s bio, she is going along for the ride and is hoping to expand her horizons along the way.

Connection to HD:
Before meeting Danton, Liz had never heard of HD, just like most other people.  After attending support groups, conferences, clinical trials, and assisting with the first Paddlelotta, an HD fundraiser lead by her dad in Cleveland, Ohio, she feels very knowledgeable and touched by the disease.  She has also helped Danton with fundraisers when they were in college and is thrilled to be on the project team for this film.  She is determined to help increase awareness, raise funds, support research, and get involved in any way she can to help find a cure for this terrible disease.  She looks forward to meeting the interviewees, hearing their stories, and sharing them with the world through the production of the film.

Role on the film:
Liz will be doing everything behind the scenes.  That includes film and sound, as well as assistant editor, assistant producer, and anything else that might come up along the way.  She will also be doing a lot of driving while Danton, writes and prepares script and interview questions.  Basically, “assistant everything”.
